Top Ten Best Long Sleeve T-Shirts

As an avid sampler of many of my vendors custom logo apparel, I almost always judge a garment by how often I wear it. Next, I look at the garment from a decoration standpoint. Does the garment embroider well? Can it be digitally printed and screen printed well? In many cases, the difference in price can be $1 or $2, and it is the difference between 1 wear and 100 times the garment is worn. Depending on how the garments are decorated and how many units you are looking for price range is between $10 and $20 each.

1. The Z700 by Zorrel. My 2 favorite colors that I own are black and white, but it comes in 15 different colors. My most favorite feature is the open end sleeves and the 70% cotton/30% microfiber fabric.

2. While the Zorrel piece is more practical, this baby pique thermal from Next Level also features the open ended sleeves and probably the softest feel in the industry.  We also lead all of our tee shirt sales with the next level collection.

3. Another thermal that comes in third place the the contrast stitch thermal by Canvas. Perhaps a little more geared toward the high school / college crowd.

Model Shot

4. American Apparel is the next on the list with the 4407 and probably my favorite with cuffed sleeves. Color selection pales to the zorrel selection, but it still has a huge brand appeal, even though I am not a big fan of their model shots.

5. Next on deck is another long time brand name… Champion!!! While sporting a Champion logo on the sleeve cuff, this is more of the traditional athletic long sleeve tee shirt form yester-year. Thick material and very durable.

6. As we move more into the basic brand shirts, my first quality pick out of the name brands would be this 5186 by Hanes. The 6.1 ounce, 100% cotton fabric offers a number of colors to make a good fit in your sports wear collection. Price also starts drawing closer to the $10 range.

7. When we start looking at some of these core name brands such as Gildan, Fruit of the Loom and Hanes, the issue becomes more about stock availability, delivery time and color selection. Every brand shown here has a place and has certain quality traits. Also, most of these are 100% cotton or some sort of blend. 100% polyester gear is also available, but really falls in a different category.
