First, we designed 5000 scratch off cards.  4750 of the cards had an inexpensive gift item that the attendee received for filling out their contact information, specifically their e-mail address.   240 of the attendees received a jump drive that was pre-loaded with the clients website.  As soon as you plugged in the jump drive, a browser would open and take you straight to their web page. The remaining 10 people were awarded an IPOD that also had pre-loaded information on it.

Another option is to buy fleece products made from recycled fibers. This particular material is made from recycled plastic soda bottles which are converted to polyester fibers. These fibers are then knit into the fabric. By using bottles, the company is closing the loop of recycling. Another group we’ve decided to support is a start-up recycling company known as Kans for Kids. This nonprofit has begun recycling bottles and cans in schools around Indianapolis. They are also involved with a larger spectrum of recycling called Waste Chasers. We chose to sponsor this group because they are dedicated to environmental education and waste reduction. Currently there are not any companies which recycle these materials in schools, so Kans for Kids was formed with this in mind. Once they entered the market, they realized the lack of plastic recyclers in Indiana and chose to partner with a company who could better accommodate those needs.

Recycled Stick Pens – Jo Bee

Here we have a supplier who has gone outside the box. Not only do they offer recycled pens, they offer them in a variety of recycled materials. While the percentage of recycled material is not as high on these, they will still make a bold statement about your company’s awareness of the earth.

They are made up of 30% recycled material and are offered with blue or black ink. The imprint area is a bit larger on these than the Ecopen and I haven’t seen this type of product anywhere else. They offer recycled denim, recycled money, recycled newspaper, recycled tires, and even recycled blue jean pencils. With a price of $0.50 with a quantity of 500, that’s not a bad cost to make a lasting impression.

Twig Pen – Alpi

Not much to say about this one. It’s a twig. It’s a pen. It’s a Twin Pen. Did I mention it can be printed on too? Under a dollar if you purchase 500 or more.
