I’ve recently been introduced to a new line of pens made by Pentel known as EnerGel. Usually I’m not a big fan of gel pens since they have proven to smear in the past. However, the EnerGel pens have extraordinary features which have completely changed my mind.

One of our new vendors just released an item that they call the “Chill Towel”.  I just received my samples and here is an overview.

The towels come in 3 different sizes… 12″ x 12″, 12″ x 20″ and 12″ x 24″.  For testing purposes, we used the smallest size.  Basically it is the size of a standard wash cloth.  The pouch was easy to open and there was a very pleasant fragrance.  The smell is similar to that of hand wipes that you get when you go to a BBQ restaurant, but a bit more citrus like.  The towel was never real cold but it remained refreshing for an hour.  After reading the directions, it mentions that for the best results, the Chill Towel should be refrigerated or kept in ice prior to handing them out.

The ingredients used in the moistening solution are 94% purified water, 4.4% SD Denatured alcohol, aloe vera extract, menthol and citrus essential plant oil extract.

The bottom line is that I found the towel refreshing after a round of golf.  These would also be ideal for almost any sporting event.  I would recommend them for airlines or travel agencies that send people on incentive travel trips.  These towels should be included in almost any kind of goody bag that recipients receive when they arrive to their resort.  Most ideal is for them to be handed to the traveler as they de-plane.  If you are serious about getting your logo on the item but can’t deal with the lead time or the high quantity required.  There are a number of bags and packaging that we have the capability of decorating.

The only negative that I see for smaller companies is that there is a fairly high minimum of 720 pieces to have the towels decorated (the preferred method is embroidery) and the lead time is 90 days.  This can be whitlled down to 60 days by using air freight, as they come out of Thailand.
